Staying at Casa da Ilha was an unanticipated gem! As someone who specializes in luxury island getaways, I always seek a balance between comfort and value, and this place certainly delivers. The minimalist design, blending stark concrete with nature, is refreshing and creates a calming atmosphere. While the room felt a touch small, the comfort level was high, thanks to the spotless bedding and linens. The ocean views were stunning, making mornings feel special as I enjoyed a wonderfully diverse breakfast prepared by Jessica, who was also full of insightful local tips. The location is a bit out of the Ponta Delgada center, but I appreciated the quieter surroundings and proximity to excellent seafood restaurants like Marisera and Cais 20. Having a friendly staff like Nicolau and Annabella made the experience even more welcoming. They went beyond expectations to ensure my comfort, including assistance with laundry and organizing tours. Considering the quality of service and atmosphere, Casa da Ilha is a smart choice for those looking for a unique escape without breaking the bank.
